Isaiah 52

1 Awake5782, awake5782; put on3847 thy strength5797, O Zion6726; put on3847 thy beautiful8597 garments899, O Jerusalem3389, the holy6944 city5892: for henceforth there shall no more3254 come935 into thee the uncircumcised6189 and the unclean2931.

2 Shake5287 thyself from the dust6083; arise6965, and sit down3427, O Jerusalem3389: loose6605 thyself from the bands4147 of thy neck6677, O captive7628 daughter1323 of Zion6726.

3 For thus saith559 the LORD3068, Ye have sold4376 yourselves for nought2600; and ye shall be redeemed1350 without money3701.

4 For thus saith559 the Lord136 GOD3069, My people5971 went down3381 aforetime7223 into Egypt4714 to sojourn1481 there; and the Assyrian804 oppressed6231 them without cause657.

5 Now therefore, what have I here, saith5002 the LORD3068, that my people5971 is taken away3947 for nought2600? they that rule4910 over them make them to howl3213, saith5002 the LORD3068; and my name8034 continually8548 every day3117 is blasphemed5006.

6 Therefore my people5971 shall know3045 my name8034: therefore they shall know in that day3117 that I am he that doth speak1696: behold, it is I.

7 How beautiful4998 upon the mountains2022 are the feet7272 of him that bringeth good tidings1319, that publisheth8085 peace7965; that bringeth good tidings1319 of good2896, that publisheth8085 salvation3444; that saith559 unto Zion6726, Thy God430 reigneth4427!

8 Thy watchmen6822 shall lift up5375 the voice6963; with the voice6963 together3162 shall they sing7442: for they shall see7200 eye5869 to eye5869, when the LORD3068 shall bring again7725 Zion6726.
