Job 27

1 Moreover Job347 continued3254 5375 his parable4912, and said559, continued: Heb. added to take up

2 As God410 liveth2416, who hath taken away5493 my judgment4941; and the Almighty7706, who hath vexed4843 my soul5315; vexed: Heb. made my soul bitter

3 All the while5750 my breath5397 is in me, and the spirit7307 of God433 is in my nostrils639; the spirit: that is, the breath which God gave him

4 My lips8193 shall not speak1696 wickedness5766, nor my tongue3956 utter1897 deceit7423.

5 God forbid2486 that I should justify6663 you: till I die1478 I will not remove5493 mine integrity8538 from me.

6 My righteousness6666 I hold2388 fast, and will not let it go7503: my heart3824 shall not reproach2778 me so long as I live3117. so long: Heb. from my days

7 Let mine enemy341 be as the wicked7563, and he that riseth up6965 against me as the unrighteous5767.

8 For what is the hope8615 of the hypocrite2611, though he hath gained1214, when God433 taketh away7953 his soul5315?

9 Will God410 hear8085 his cry6818 when trouble6869 cometh935 upon him?

10 Will he delight6026 himself in the Almighty7706? will he always6256 call7121 upon God433?

11 I will teach3384 you by the hand3027 of God410: that which is with the Almighty7706 will I not conceal3582. by: or, being in the hand, etc

12 Behold, all ye yourselves have seen2372 it; why then are ye thus altogether1892 vain1891?

13 This is the portion2506 of a wicked7563 man120 with God410, and the heritage5159 of oppressors6184, which they shall receive3947 of the Almighty7706.

14 If his children1121 be multiplied7235, it is for3926 the sword2719: and his offspring6631 shall not be satisfied7646 with bread3899.

15 Those that remain8300 of him shall be buried6912 in death4194: and his widows490 shall not weep1058.
